These One Pan Smothered Pork Chops may just be the best pork chop dinner recipe you have ever had! Bone-in pork chops are smothered in peppers, onions, cheese, and a creamy bbq sauce! Your family will ask for this easy dinner recipe again and again!
These One Pan Smothered Pork Chops are about to change pork chop night at your house. These were so good I was seriously dreaming about the left overs. My daughters love pork chops, but let’s be honest, pork isn’t the most exciting thing to have for dinner! Once summer is over and we put away the grill, I struggle to find interesting ways to cook pork chops, but this smothered version is definitely the best way I have ever prepared them!
I had been thinking up these smothered pork chops for a while now and they were everything I hoped they would be! Tender, flavorful, and so delicious! Everyone in my family cleaned their plates, even the two year old! Better yet, these pork chops only dirty one pan! I love one pot dinners because they are easy and makes clean up even faster.
Peppers and onions make such a flavorful combination and cheese makes everything better of course! I know that cheese on pork sounds kind of odd, but I promise, it works in this recipe! The star of the show in this recipe though is the sauce! A simple combination of bbq sauce, ranch dressing, and spicy brown mustard makes for the perfect topping for these smothered pork chops.
The best pot for cooking pork chops
I recommend this pot again and again, but seriously, I love this cast iron enamel pan. It cooks SO well and clean up is so easy. It is definitely budget friendly compared to other enameled pans, too! I use this pot at least 5 times a week and I know you will love it!.
How to cook bone in pork chops
Bone in pork chops tend to stay more tender than boneless pork chops. You can cook them just like you would the boneless variety, but add 1 minute. The pork chops I used in this recipe were about 1/2 inch thick. If you use any thicker, you will need to add some cook time.
These One Pan Smothered Pork Chops are a delicious way to serve pork chops for dinner! I know your family will love this flavorful recipe!
