Have you tried the Everything Pretzel Thins yet? I like to buy the Aldi’s ones, but I’ve seen them at Walmart, too. They are super thin and crispy and coated in everything bagel seasoning! So good and perfect for dipping into chip dip!

I have made pretzel chicken tenders before. I combined cheddar cheese and crushed pretzels to make a super delicious homemade chicken tender, but since my daughter hates cheese (what a weirdo) I needed to find a new method! This method of combining breadcrumbs and crushed pretzels is a fun way to add extra texture and flavor to a basic chicken finger recipe.

How to Make Chicken Tenders in the Air Fryer

It is important to preheat the air fryer so the tray gets hot. While the fryer heats up, prepare the chicken.

Instead of dredging the chicken in just egg, you dredge the chicken in a mixture of egg and  honey mustard, which adds so much flavor! The sweet mustard mixed with the salty pretzels is the perfect combination.

Once your chicken is coated, you add it to the air fryer. Half way through, you turn the chicken to get the other side crispy. Cooking chicken in the air fryer is so easy and you will never go back to the oven!

Air Fryer Everything Pretzel Chicken Tenders

These delicious Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are not only easy but kid friendly too!

Ingredients

• 2 pounds chicken tenderloins
• ½ cup honey mustard dressing
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon paprika divided
• 1 teaspoon garlic salt divided
• 1 teaspoon pepper divided
• 1 cup bread crumbs
• 2 cups everything bagel seasoned thin pretzels you can also use regular pretzels and add in everything but the bagel seasoning
• Non-Stick Cooking Spray
• Honey mustard dressing for dipping

Instructions

1. In a shallow dish, whisk together ½ cup honey mustard, 2 eggs and ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic salt and 1 teaspoon pepper.

2. Add your chicken tenders to the egg mixture to coat.
3. Crush up the pretzels pretty fine (I used a food processor).

4. Mix the crushed pretzels with the bread crumbs and remaining paprika, garlic salt and pepper in a shallow dish.

5. Coat each tender in the pretzel mix and set aside.

6. Spray the tenders with the non-stick spray.

7. Place however many tenders will fit in your air fryer without touching. I can fit 4, some air fryers are larger, some are smaller.
8. Air fry at 400 for 5-6 minutes, flip and air fry another 5-6 minutes.
9. Repeat with remaining tenders.
10. Serve with honey mustard dipping sauce.
